Never pay full price for your Magazines and even turn it into fun.

You are standing in the checkout line in your local Grocery Store and there they are. Colorful, enticing photos and headlines. They are almost screaming out at you: Buy me, buy me!

Of course the folks in front of you are taking their sweet time getting done with their daily chit chat and check out. So you pick up one of your favorite Magazines and start browsing. What harm could it do after all. It is only a couple of bucks. No big deal. Stop that thought right there! What are you thinking? No big deal? Of course it is a big deal, you are getting caught in an impulse purchase trap.

Now of course, I am not trying to tell you that you can't have your magazines, what sort of evil creature do you think I am? I am just telling you not to buy it at full price. EVER! You don't have to you know. There are several different ways to get your Magazine fix for reduced, down right criminally cheap or yes even FREE.
Now let's get started with todays examination of creative ways to get what you want for a cheap price. Instantly slashing your cost of living and increasing your luxury of living. You do agree that having your favorite Magazines is a minor luxury?

Imagine being able to have almost ALL your favorite Magazines for the price of only 1 or 2 of them at the regular Price.
  1. If you don't mind your issues being a bit behind (usually about 1 Month) you can get your Issue for free. You can take it home and read it for free, the catch is you have to bring it back in a good condition. So no cutting out your favorite recipe or the hot chick from page 9. If you can control the distructive urges of your little heart and hands you are looking at not only a great savings, but a fun rumaging around for free. Where do you ask can you find such a marvel of Magazine Haven? At your local Library of course.
  2. Turn your Magazine rush into a treasure hunt! You can turn your quest for the newer Magazine Issues into a Game between you and your friends. Find as many other Magazine Lovers as possible between your Friends and Neighbors and have a monthly Magazine Trade Show or Treasure Hunt. You can start it off by putting up flyers or talking to them. These days everyone is trying to save a couple of Dollars and this is a great excuse for us Ladies to get together for a fun social event. You can take turns hosting the trade evening at each others homes. Everybody brings something to snack or drink that will help set off the cost of the hosting. For your first meeting have each person bring the Magazines they have at home and have already read and are done with. You will be surprised how many Magazines you can find right then and there that you have not had a chance to read yet. Make a List of all the Magazines you each enjoy reading and then divide the Magazines up equally between all of you. Now for the next Meeting (set it once a month) you are responsible to find the Magazines that have been assigned to you and bring them.
  3. Check Yardsales in your Area, used Bookstores or Thrift Stores.
  4. Local community Centers have Magazines sitting out at times for you to read.
  5. Order them through the little cards you find inside your Magazine, that usually reduces the cost of your Magazine by up to 50%
  6. Order them through a Magazine Subscription Website Save up to 92% on Magazine Subscriptions!
  7. Get free annual subscriptions through freebie Sites and earn points Rewards Points!

By being innovative in your search for the Magazine fix without spending too much, you may just find many more little ways of saving money on other Items. Getting more then just yourself involved in those little savings hunts can be a fun way to make new friends who have the same values (saving money and making the Dollar stretch) you do.

What are you waiting for, SAVE NOW on ALL your Favorite Magazines!

Joining "Incentive Programs" at your local Grocery Store

As you can tell without a doubt, I am a super bargain snoop. If I can avoid paying full price for anything, I will. At the grocery prices these days, you are almost obligated to use coupons. Now you can join various Coupon Websites, print them out and then cash them in at your local Grocery Store, but be warned ahead of Time that many Grocery Stores no longer allow this.

Albertsons for example has put a stop to that in my place of Residence (Las Vegas) a long time ago. Of course that doesn't mean that others no longer honor them.
I know that Vons is still accepting them right along with their personal Savings Programs, which brings me to the topic of today's savings tip.

There are many bonuses and privileges to be had when join the various Grocery Store Discount, Savings and Bonus Programs. Let us stay with Vons for a moment for example. Ever so often the heat in this town just gets to me or there are days when I just don't have the time to go grocery shopping. I don't want to compromise quality in my Meat Products either however when I am not able to go shopping. Now Vons offers a grocery delivery service in many areas of the country. If you are already signed up with their savings Program you will not ony receive email updates (if you checked that), but all you have to do is go shopping online and with your discount card you receive the various savings without having to hand carry coupons to the store. Now, that is not all you can receive Free Delivery on your First Order of $50 or more at Vons.com Add all the different saving up and you are making out like a Bandit.

Another favorite Store of mine to go shopping at is Smith. I have literally saved 100's of Dollars with their Savings Program. Since you earn points for each Dollar you spend and it is a very clever program you receive Coupons in the mail which truly match your shopping style. Plus you receive at times up to $5.00 off your entire shopping trip or $1.00 off a certain Shopping Category like dairy, meats or household items etc. You can sign up at the Store or online. Doesn't cost a Penny, but you sure can save Dollars.

Albertsons is alright with their Savings Program. If you are looking for Free Movie Tickets or a Discount Coupon to a Concert than this is the Program for you. I see them running special Promotions in those category quiet frequently. Otherwise they have their usual buy 10 for 10 deals.

Signing up to the various Store Savings Programs is free and in the end can save you some cash. The only cost to you is the time it takes you to fill it out, so why not?
